The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A women’s squad for their upcoming multi-format tour of Australia. Spinner Radha Yadav has been named captain for all three formats, which include T20, One-Day, and a four-day match. The tour, scheduled from August 7 to August 24, 2025, also marks the return of explosive batter Shafali Verma to the one-day setup, alongside potential comebacks for pacers Shreyanka Patil and Titas Sadhu who have been recovering from injuries.

Shafali Verma last played an ODI for India against New Zealand in October 2024. She was subsequently dropped from the format due to a dip in form, having scored only 108 runs in six ODIs the previous year. While she has been part of the T20I squad, including the ongoing series against England, she did not feature in the preceding three-match ODI series. This tour with the India A team provides Verma a crucial opportunity to make a strong case for inclusion in the senior squad ahead of the home ODI World Cup later this year.
Shreyanka Patil is set to return to competitive cricket after dealing with multiple injuries since last year’s Women’s Asia Cup. Although she participated in the subsequent T20 World Cup in the UAE, she missed the Women’s Premier League (WPL) earlier this year. Patil’s last appearances for India in ODIs and T20Is were in June 2024 and October 2024, respectively. The inclusion of the spin-bowling allrounder in the T20 squad is subject to a medical clearance from the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) following a fracture sustained during a national bowlers’ camp in Bengaluru last month.
Fast bowler Titas Sadhu is also slated for a return from an undisclosed injury suffered after the WPL season, which forced her to miss India’s tri-series tour to Sri Lanka in April and May. Minnu Mani, who captained India A on their previous tour to Australia, has been appointed as Radha Yadav’s deputy for the upcoming series.
Another player whose inclusion is conditional upon fitness clearance from the BCCI CoE is legspinner Priya Mishra, who has been named in both the one-day and four-day squads.
The tour itinerary includes three T20 matches scheduled from August 7 to 10 in Mackay, followed by three one-day games from August 13 to 17 in Brisbane. The series will conclude with the multi-day match at the Allan Border Field in Queensland.
